| Our 16 campers this year. |
We had sixteen campers go to Orthodox Church Camp up in the mountains.
Father Lawrence also taught the lessons this year. The campers had a lot of fun and came back with tie-dyed tee shirts
they had each made.
The church offers several activities for our younger members. Some of the more popular activities are:
* Sunday School - will begin again in September. Father Lawrence will be contacting the parents
to arrange classes. We hope that all the children in our Parish will participate. We have programs
for all ages Toddlers to Teens.
* Project Mexico - Various church
groups go and build a house each summer for families in Mexico. The project requires the youth to bring money which
goes towards the supplies needed to build the house. The kids are also encouraged to interact with children in the orphanages.
They often bring items such as crayons, coloring books, and other things for the little children.
College Outreach During the month of September, the Orthodox Churches in America are focusing attention
on Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF). OCF is locatied on many college campuses across the country. OCF connects
with Orthodox Christian students and provides many activities including on some campuses, houses where students can live and
have a rule of prayer, fellowship, and mutual support. In honor of this Fr. Lawrence would like to start our own college
ministry. Please give me the address of your college students and I will start writing them and encourage them.
Perhaps we may also find out some particular needs that we as a parish can assist with. Please contact Fr. Lawrence
with any suggestions.
