The Rev. Father Stephen Osburn
Father Stephen, ordained to the holy priesthood on March 6th, 2016, is currently the Rector of St. Mary’s Dormition in Calhan, Colorado.
Growing up primarily in Las Vegas, Fr. Stephen was a successful web designer, consultant, and Internet marketer for many years before going off to seminary to pursue the priesthood. He possesses a BM from the University of Las Vegas, Nevada in Musical Compositional – Instrumental and a MDiv from St. Vladimir Orthodox Theological Seminary. While in seminary he served as Secretary for both the St. Herman Society (Ecology Group) and St. Ambrose Society (Pro Life Group). He has been involved at different levels within Church life such as being the Website and Social Media Manager for the Orthodox Church Capital Improvement Fund and a Youth Volunteer for two All American Councils for the past few years.
Fr. Stephen is also an accomplished composer and musician. He has co-written jingles for the radio as well as arranging movie scores for high school orchestras in the Clark County area. Some of his most notable compositions include; Maeva Suite for Full Orchestra, 42 for String Quartet, Orthodoxy for String Quartet, Twist of Fate 2.0 for Solo Horn in F.
He has been married since 2011 to his wife Mat. Lindsey (Lilliana). They have 1 child, Zoe Fotini and a very loving dog named Bently. He is also a huge sports fan with his favorite teams being the Minnesota Vikings, the 2023 Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights, Denver Nuggets, and the Minnesota Twins.
